Our Hon. Sec. has received the following communication which we copy for your information.
Dear Mr James,
I got your details from the Royal Naval Association website.
I am the manager at Seafarers’ Advice & Information Line (SAIL) which is a Citizens Advice service dedicated to seafarers
across the UK. All our advice is free and confidential.
We have been helping merchant seafarers and fishermen for 20 years, but are now expanding to support veteran and
serving personnel from the Royal Navy, and their partners. Of course, this would include members of the Liss & District
Branch of the RNA.
SAIL can give advice on many different issues, for example, problems with pensions and benefits, consumer issues,
housing problems, charity grants, debt, what to do when someone dies and many more. All our advisers are professional
and fully trained.
There is more information on our service on the website www.sailine.org.uk or more details about the new expansion here
